I can understand if you call Calvin Johnson CJ, or Johnathan Dwyer, JD. Even if you call Nesbitt, JN... these I'll accept... but ****ing Jaybow Shaw is Jaybo Shaw and not JS. Tevin Washington = TW??? Are you ****ing kidding me? Dammit why don't you ****ing write this in Morse code?

Does this really surprise you when a normal tech student conversation can take this form:

"Hey I just went from the CoC to the SAC and then did my MSE homework in the M building before doing my Diff EQ studying."

Just talked with an incoming freshman recently and I realized then how much we abbreviate ****.

Kids still call it the SAC? I thought it was CRC now.

As for abbreviations, I hate 'em. I thank Stinger for his great report, and I can appreciate his position, but there's no need to abbreviate every single player. That said, I find it amusing that everyone refers to BoR as BoR...

The Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. When I was in school these guys would wear ZBT jersey's around campus with their nicknames plastered on the back like "Bubba" and "Keg Stand". It was like watching a train wreck up close. They had no idea how gay it looked.

Not so great. Definitely something that needs to be worked on for the next 23 practices.

I think that we see plenty of JD when it counts, but it is good to hear that we may have some pretty nice depth in the RB positions. I really think that DD is going to continue to climb the depth chart and will be surprised if he does not play this year.

From what I noticed on Saturday, he did no get many reps and when he did get in the plays they seldom handed him the ball. From what I remember that morning, he did not get more then 5 carries. They're just not giving him as many touches in practice right now.

Any word on the back-up QB that went out (so as not to name any names)

You know, I didn't consciously believe someone would go the binary route. But when I saw it the first thing to enter my brain was "about time".....

I REALLY HOPE Special Teams does not lose us a big game this year due to missed PAT, dropped punt, kicking the ball out of bounds (LSU), etc. Besides that everything sounds great.
