Savings his job...

What would it take for Geoff to save his job at this point?

He has lost the team and the fan base. To save his job he’d have to remotivate the team and renegage the fan base in the next 15-20 days. In all likelihood his focus is on preserving his image by creating talking points that displace blame when he is fired and getting his full buyout.

ded.
i would have cut some slack for "moral victories"/close losses at this point in season and let it play out.
if we had winning season and beat uga, i'd be back on board, but i dont want CGC around long enough to find out if this happens or not.

Another? Seems to me the talent is appallingly low now. He’s getting blown out more and more as all the CPJ talent is graduating. There is literally no talent on either side of the line, and he’s had 3 classes plus the transfer portal. CPJ didn’t have the Portal luxury. In the last 5 games we scored 0 three times. The defense is disgusting. What will it take?

I’m not sure why people think he’s a good recruiter. The classes are statistically only marginally better than before, but the actual talent level on field dropped 50%. He’s terrible in every aspect.
i'm not convinced we can gauge actual talent level, because i do not believe players are getting coached up to their true potential.

What the öööö are y’all talking about?? He should even be allowed to make it to the end of the season!!!!

If we're being realistic with ourselves, a winning season and a win over UGA and he's more than safe (not that these things have a realistic chance of happening). But in some abstract sense, he could save his job. Those results wouldn't be off-schedule of optimistic expectations of a post-CPJ transition.

I voted dead to me, but after reading the whole list if he said he was willing to give up his buy out if given the chance to re-earn this job I would go for that and give him the time. And honestly I think he would be better. These guaranteed contracts that make unproven coaches, not only immediate millionaires, but literally create generational wealth for their families. Literally without having to do anything and we wonder why most of these guys fail? Who among us can honestly say they would do great at their job knowing that they are now guaranteed more money than they will spend in their lives? That's why I love the approach with Sam Pittman and Arkansas. He wanted that job and literally earned his new deal. That's what Tech needs is to get a coach who wants to prove they can coach a P5 level Honestly that was it with CPJ. He heard all the talk about his HS offense and he wanted to prove that it would work at a P5 level and his drive took us to heights not seen since at least 1990. Jamey Chadwell probably isn't goin to do it. Deion might just because he already doesn't need the money. That's why I have no problem with hiring a coach who may view this as a stepping stone job. If you want to step up higher, you're not going to get there by failing here.

Some of y’all retarded.

I’m all for firing him now based on what we’ve seen for 3+ years, but if goes out and wins the Coastal and beats UGA, I’ll hop back onboard. I think the odds of that are about the same of your mom stopping being a dirty whore, but if it does happen, I’ll be screaming money down and lifting weights on the sideline.

Come at me bro
He shouldnt be allowed to coach the rest of the season.

I think this is the reason CGC is still here for the UCF game. I believe if he loses then he’s gone next week. The reason being is if he’s left in charge the program may get to a point of no return and no decent coach in his right mind would take the job. On the flip side if the team rebounds and beats UCF then the administration may feel he can win a couple of more, get through the season and then be let go.

That's a fair take. Truly a "win or go home" scenario.

It is absurd to consider running the table. Why even stop there? Just ask if he went undefeated for his remaining life and lived for 999 years.

The obtainable upper level of success this year is winning conference record and not being embarrassed in any losses.

True, but since the poll is about what fans would personally feel he needs to accomplish, I think it's fine to include unrealistic options. Hell, I don't even think a winning conference record is possible if he is coaching all the games.
