Scrimmage today

An hour in, and already 4 TDs, including a 70yd TD run from fresh Orwin Smith
Guess our defense needs to talk to Kam Chancellor. ;) (TIC)

Edit: although I post a lot of his stuff, I am not Coley, and have only met him once. Just think he does a fairly good job of reporting us.

If Shaw goes out is Tevin a viable backup for Nesbit? Or are we pretty much screwed if Nesbit gets hurt..

If we are behind and need to score points to win the game, we're probably screwed is Nesbitt is out period. Tevin won't lose a game for us though if he has to come in and we're leading. He's got the skills he just needs more consistency. He can also carry us over weaker teams like Duke and Miss St. and maybe Vandy if he has a good day.

It may be because Tevin haven't had as many reps as Josh or Jaybo but all the practice reports I've read showed that Tevin was the most efficient passer. In terms of running the offense, I think Tevin is just a little bit behind Jaybo mentally just because of the lack of in-game experience. Tevin is still unproven. It will be up to him to show us what he's got. :)

Either way, it would be nice to have 3 healthy QBs throughout the entire season.

So have you actually seen much of Tevin or is this simply based on what the other experts on here post? We're no worse off than we were last year unless we lose 2 QBs IMO. It means he gets more reps from here on in and knows he's the next guy in line. We'll see what he has in him, just as happens with every young player when his number is called.

Ha ha. I like the subtle jabs.

This is pretty serious.

Jaybo's injury is a broken collarbone. Those take time to heal. Johnson said GT may have to explore using a redshirt for him.

Well I have seen him in practice and I saw him in the scrimmage today. There were times where he could move the ball about as good as Nesbitt and times where he screws up. I'd say the biggest problem with Tevin that I saw is that he is the least proficient passer of the top 3, at least that is how it looked to my eyes.

Oh damn, didn't realize it would be so serious. Any chance one of our freshmen won't be redshirted now?

A pretty big chance now and its going to be Sims who doesn't get it. Luallen won't be able to do it missing as much time as he had with the ankle.
