Sorry if this has already been stated, but he is now listed as decommitted and having no interest in GT according to Scout.com
Now that's good news! Also, just recently put up on the AJC, Chris Jackson, even though he visited Bama, is still 100% committed to GT.

But the best sales pitch from Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban failed to convince Jackson to switch his allegiance from the Jackets to Alabama.
“The visit went well,” Jackson said Sunday evening. “Alabama did a great job of recruiting me, but I’m still committed to Tech 100 percent.”
Have fun wherever you go and we'll be thinking of you when we go to the BCS in the next few years. No thanks to you!
Come'on TechGator...no need to slam the kid.
Agreed. But the ironic part of this is he would have developed more under Paul than he would have under Chan, who could not develop a viable D1A QB in 6 years. This is to be expected. He is a pro style drop back passer. He is no longer a fit for GT under Paul Johnson. GT will throw but it will not be a pro style drop back scheme. He is better off at school that will run an offense that better fits his abilities and GT is better off using the scholarship on someone who better fits the new offensive scheme. This is win win

Agree about QB development in the past. Also we had the bes WR in football and CG did not use him like he should.
But what bothers me most is the kid or his dad never talked to PJ to see what his plans were and if he could fit in here. I am not slamming the kid but if he wants to make a decision without the facts then I am glad he is gone.

I think they did the right thing because it was written in the AJC that a coach cannot talk to a recruit after Dec 15 until a certain date (don't remember the date)and now they want to see what options they have for Sean. If they waited, they may lose an opportunity to talk. I am sure they will talk to PJ also. There is nothing to say he cannot recommit to GT. Everything I have read since his commitment is that this is a class family.
I agree that it's probable that Tech is not a good fit for him and what he wants to do, but still think it's poor form not to at least talk to the new coach. He could always talk with other schools to guage mutual interest. But making a definitive statement that he's no longer even considering Tech seems odd.Disagree. Paul Johnson has been running this offense as a OC or head coach for 20+ years. They have plenty of evidence to go on. While, he will probably throw more in the ACC, it will still be an option based offense and the quarterbacks will be chosen first for there ability to run the option and 2nd for there ability to throw out of an option look.
Buzz, maybe they did and we don't know it.Bogey I hope you are right but I still think they should have at least spoken to PJ and stated exactly what you did.

Why? There's nothing binding to his commitment at this point. Was it poor form for DRad to not have called him BEFORE he fired Chan?I agree that it's probable that Tech is not a good fit for him and what he wants to do, but still think it's poor form not to at least talk to the new coach.
Yeah, he had no idea how to spot talent. :rolleyes:I don't really trust Chan's choice of QBs anyway. ;)
