SEC sucks

It is a butthurt article but I believe right now the argument should be Clemson or Michigan as #1 and Alabama #3 then tough battle for #4 with A&M and Washington. Louisville's schedule hurts them but is in the picture. Ohio St. with loss to non top 10 and overtime game is not right now. Clemson and Michigan each have 3 top 25 wins and Alabama has 1. It could change but as it stands now, the Tide results are not as good as the other 2.

What logic are you using to put aTm in the top ten? They have beaten no one significant. Their only claim to fame is losing by 17 to bama.

My personal ranking algorithm is giving me Michigan as a clear cut #1, followed by Bama, Washington, then Clemson.

Predictor Top 10 said:
#1: ('ALA', [1.0, 125, 0, 8, 0])
#2: ('MICH', [0.996, 124, 1, 8, 0])
#3: ('CLEM', [0.976, 119, 6, 7, 0])
#4: ('WASH', [0.96, 115, 10, 7, 0])
#5: ('OSU', [0.9295, 123, 2, 7, 1])
#6: ('FLA', [0.9086, 120, 5, 6, 1])
#7: ('TA&M', [0.9006, 118, 7, 6, 1])
#8: ('LOU', [0.8926, 116, 9, 6, 1])
#9: ('AUB', [0.863, 122, 3, 6, 2])
#10: ('NEB', [0.8495, 103, 22, 7, 1])

Purely on algorithm, without factoring in W/L the way it does, it would rank ALA, MICH, OSU, AUB. Just outside at #'s 5 and 6, LSU and FLA in that order. Predictor is a SEC homer. Still, aTm doesn't make the top 4 in just the SEC, let alone the nation.

Hard for me to hate on FLA because of the beating they just put on ugay. I hope Auburn really steamrolls them. They might just give up before they play us.

Auburn has definitely been on the upswing in its last few games. I'm thinking if you can put 56-3 on Arkansas, you can put a hurting on Georgia. Will be a very fun game to watch.

your predictor is broken

Any score even in that zip code would be glorious.

They beat Auburn. That is their only win over a ranked opponent I think.

I'm returning it for a refund later.
I think this guy hacked your predictor:

In 2016, like clockwork for the last decade, the SEC has been given credit and benefitted from losing to one another while losses outside of the conference are wholeheartedly ignored.

LSU began the season 2-2, lost to Wisconsin on a neutral field, fired their coach, and then won three games in a row against two putrid teams and one average Ole Miss squad. Any other school's (outside of the SEC West) playoff dreams would be dashed, but here the Tigers sit as the 13th best team in the country with a chance to make the final four. Auburn has two home losses, including one against ACC frontrunner Clemson. However, a victory over LSU together with four wins against unranked programs qualifies them as the ninth best team in the country with a clear path to the playoff. Then there is fourth ranked Texas A&M. A team Louisville was clearly superior to with a then 18 year old Lamar Jackson last December. The Aggies have defeated one current top 25 team and their biggest claim to fame is losing by 19 on the road to Alabama. Lastly, we have the Florida Gators. The brightest spot on their resume is a 38 point win over Kentucky which has qualified them to be number 11.
Could not have said it better.

A&M looks like hot garbage against the best five loss team in the country right now. And Ol' Miss is losing to GSU.

S-E-C!
