Sedric Griffin, etc.

I was pissed it took so long to get EMTs over there...

What's even more screwed up is... they always have at least one ambulance at all football games. What the hell were they doing, eating a hotdog and enjoying the day in the stands?

Y'all need to lighten up on the EMTs. Dealing with on-field and sideline issues is not their primary task. We have people on staff to deal with medical issues.

The first seizure was very bizarre. Sed never went down. He was standing in the field like one leg was nailed to the ground. He was pointing at the ground and shaking like it was some Maori war dance. The teams were coming on the field and nobody noticed that he wasn't leaving, because he was still standing.

I was surprised to see him return for the second half. At that point I assumed it must be something that he had dealt with before or he would have already been taken to the hospital.

The second time, he stood up, pointed skyward, and started shaking before he fell to the ground.

I hope he's alright.

When I left my tailgate for the game they were attending to an elderly lady who had collapsed in Peters Parking Deck.

(Last I checked, they were serving chicken, not hot dogs.;))

Fair point, clapper. It was an unforturnate coincidence that all the staff were so far away and preoccupied by the on-field injury.

You were in Peter's and didn't stop to say hello? Damn!

I was on Row 7 in 106 and the whole fourth quarter was quite frightening for the team. When Sed went down they started yelling for a trainer, but there was a LB down on the field at the same time. The eyes of the players around him showed a lot of concern. The fact that we were close to losing the game seemed relatively unimportant given this young man's condition. I was praying hard for him. I hope he is better today and I hope that Saturday will not mark the end of a playing career. He did throw up some as he came off the field in the first half. He looked pretty dazedwhen EMT's took him off the field in 4th quarter.

I will say that the D-line starters kept their unit focused all the fourth quarter when on the sideline. While offense was yelling at each other some in the fourth, the D-line guys kept smiling and saying that they would not give up another score. That front four is truly something to be proud of. They won the game for us.

I feel so terrible for Sed today. He's always extremely nice to the student body. Usually in the REALLY early warm-ups (+90 minutes before kick), he would say Hi to us, and kindly acknowledge our insane yells to him. He also took time after the game to shake our hands, going as far as to take a "Lambeau Leap" into the Swarm section after the Duke game. I've had the opportunity to speak with him for just a few moments, but he's an extremely nice young man. My prayers really go out to him.

Whew. Thanks alpha for that link.

I felt really, really bad for Sed. He is a GREAT players. Do not forget that he was the LB who kept MSU out of the endzone on their 4th down try.

Glad your better Sed, Take your medicine!!!! Good luck , Bro
