Serious Question...Should stadium expansion continue?

It's going to happen. They've begun moving the staff positions out of 190 Bobby Dodd Way to prepare for its demolition right after the Duke game. They wouldn't do this unless the expansion was going to happen - especially since we upgraded the network wiring and equipment in that building a little over a year ago.

I would like the stadium expansion to continue. We have significantly increased our season ticket base over the past 10 years, we've only had a handful of games that we not sell outs of the past few years. I would also like GT to have a financial comitment to the FB program. I think that it would provide a safeguard from the Hill getting too crazy will admision standards.

I really don't understand why we don't put in a Walmart and Home Depot and cut down the remainder of the trees on campus.

Why keep something old with character when you can build something new and ugly.

New and bigger - its the American way.

And then we'll discover that we really did like old and quaint. And we'll tear down down the new and put in fake "quaint", e.g. tearing down "hip" - at the time - Fulton County stadium and putting in fake quaint Turner field.

Maybe if Braine hadn't fired all the key AA staff when he got there, one of them would have explained the point you are making to him.

You can't stop expansion, but I would love to see the marketing survey done by the AA (if one was even done) that said we could sell more than 22,000 season tickets. We barely sold out season tickets this year. Even when the stadium sat 60,000 we never averaged 50,000 for a season. I guess fans disguised as empty seats impress recruits.
