Shawn Davis likely out for year...

Slipped on Miami's ridiculous field trying to tackle a returner. Infuriating.

There was an article last week saying his confidence was growing.

I guess we will see what King can do, but this is bad news.

I get that their field was soggy even before the rain, but is there anything they could do about that? Is this the Miami version of cut block whining?

Johnson said Richt apologized for the poor field condition before the game and I don't think the reference was to wet conditions, but likely a generally poor playing surface. Would agree though to whine about is would just be a complaint as both teams played on the poor field.

How are conditions so poor for an NFL stadium?
Heinz Field has had similar problems in the past, I think. Alot of use turns into abuse and throw in less than optimal and/or shifting growing conditions for turf grass and this is what you get.

Maybe. I'm just generally still butthurt, though. If we're gonna get a bunch of guys hurt playing in that mess, the least we could do is win the game.

Miami needs to go back to the Orange Bowl and get out of that NFL stadium. NFL stadiums are an awful college environment.

Wasn't that stadium basically designed to be a baseball stadium anyway?

Best of luck to Shawn. I'd been wanting to see more of King so now we'll get to see all we can stand. Hope the kid can step up.
