Should we dump 790 the Drone

They have problems, but they are fixable.

I've already stated my 2 biggest gripes with 790:

(1) No power. Get a little bit OTP and they're toast. A little bit OTP before 7:30a and after 5:30p then totally forget it.

(2) Too many mutts. I realize that there are more mutt fans than GT fans but, honestly, do we really have to *settle* for a mutt on our postgame show??

I actually like the Mayhem guys. They are usually pretty fair and objective. Sometimes they're even funny.

Brandon and Woolvey - love Woolvey, hate Adams. He should go to 750 and work with the Tool-In-Chief Eric Zeier.

I also like the 2 Live Stews - Ryan is a Jacket to the core. He's been louder than loud about us this week.

Afternoon show? I have to say, actually, that Pollack has been probably the best mutt on the air about the U(sic)GA game. He's the only real mutt that has actually admitted that we beat them. Mike Bell is just a riot.

Just for argument's sake - what's the alternative?

Pollack has been pro-GT all year long. Every time the topic comes up he gives Tech props, he predicts us to win, he's positive, and he handles interviews with our players better than anyone else on the station.

I wonder how much of that was driven by the initial backlash, but I don't really care if it was or not. He's one of the few local media I'd say is a solid ally to our program.

It's really pretty amazing. Not at all what I expected.

Pollock is not pro GT anything. Prior to getting this job, he spewed venom towards GT every chance he got. He needs to go !!!!

After the Miami gave Bell asked him from a scale from 1-10 how worried should UGA be? He said 10.


Besides, isnt Pollack from Jersey? He could probably care less now that he is outta the ****holes. (Athens and Jersey)

WREK is nonprofit by their charter, so they're prohibited by law from any sort of advertising. GTAA gains zero revenue from anything broadcast by WREK.

This disparity in radio coverage around ATL always bugged me. I'd think that with our collective alumni brainpower we could figure this out! WTF?!? Do journalism majors really trump EEs?

Why not have the GT Foundation buy back WGST FM, run it as an upper class station, use our alumni/fan base to sell advertising,set-up a new major for sports/technology mgt.
