Smackdown in Bobby Dodd

Don’t watch wrestling, but do people actually like Cody Rhodes? Seems like a weirdo and strange pick for a WWE to give such a big profile to.

So wait... that's the son of Dusty Rhodes? Cool! Yeah, I've been out of it for a while but omg I grew up with this stuff.

#1 conversion vanssss!
(slams fist on hood again)

Forgot what happened next bc Dusty Rhodes just beat up a van.

Maybe we will finally get to use our special event turf. An outdoor turf war wrestling event at BDS would be awesome.

Wait, what happened to Gold Dust?
The last I checked he was wrestling in AEW and had changed his image/persona and was wrestling as Dustin Rhodes. Cody helped start that promotion a few years back before jumping ship back to the WWE.

I think the WWE story-line is building towards the return of 20 oz. Bulldog.

Anoa'i and Seamus will get tricked into getting trapped in headlocks, triggering 20 oz to Zipline in from the East Stands.

Cody Rhodes looks like a guy who would purchase sand from 20 oz.

He was a midcarder in WWE years ago. He left and became a big hit on the independent circuit, helped found AEW and when he came back to WWE, he returned as a huge star. Yeah, people like him. The fans basically demanded that WWE put the title on him.

20oz is still alive?

CSB: I saw Cody wrestle for Lassiter HS's developmental program when he was in middle school. My son was in the same tournaments. His hair looked the same back then except he dyed leopard spots in it. Dusty was helping Lassiter train these kids back then. They were some of the best in the county and Cody was one of the best. He ended up winning two GA state championships at 189 lbs..

FWIW, another pro wrestler who was in Cobb County back then, is Xavier Woods, who was wrestling for Sprayberry. He and Cody had some bad blood between them back then, mostly off the mat. Woods is a great guy. Bachelors and Masters from Furman. Works with kids a lot. He and Cody are friends now.

So the WWE event next Saturday night at State Farm Arena is the same time as Duke-GT for all you going to BDS. Probably even more traffic to deal with.

Was Xavier Woods related to Tim Woods by any chance or just a co-incidence?
