So, according the Atlanta Business Chronicle....

There is something poetic though about seeing them getting crushed in a close one
I don't like suffering through that because as a GT fan I grew up knowing of something called UGAg luck. I'd rather tune in and see a game like the blackout beatdown Alabama gave them

Hmm, do I want Georgia to get absolutely blown out or do I want them to repeat the sugar bowl where they sleepwalk through the first half, wake up, and lose in a close one.

I can see the value of them losing in a close one if it's a barnburner. Would eliminate the "nothing to play for" argument SEC fans like to trot out when they lose a bowl game, as if their teams don't try to win unless there's a championship that they'll never get to that's on the line.

This. Through the decades I’ve seen numerous UGA games where a Vandy, Kentucky, or Ole Miss (...Maryland or somebody) would be positioned to upset the nations premier pre-season #1 college football team, only to have some ridiculously fluke thing pull UGA from the jaws of defeat -often self-inflicted by their opponent.

Lindsay Scott was a damn fluke. Cover him dammit florida assholes

Never forget 2nd and 26, gentlemen.

Something powerful to be said for that.
Yes, but the soul crushing horror of the 38 seconds of life I experienced immediately prior to the reception of that pass scars me to this day.

The glory that is the result of that play does assuage that 38 seconds somewhat. That scar, that horrible idea of what life was going to be like with a mutt win, however remains.

I wonder how many days it has been since they won a national championship in football. If only there was a way to easily find that information.

I know it is less than the days since we won one. By 3 or 4 thousand days.
