Shut the **** up BOR. You are the real dumbass.
You are far too young to understand what I am talking about.
In 1997 we lost due to a bogus pass interference call which negated a last second INT by Tech. Tech fans were whooping it up and throwing stuff at the UGA fans and bench when we intercepted. The flag then comes out late of course, and we are flagged for interference. On the next play, Bobo hits Hines Ward in the corner of the endzone at BDS with 7 seconds left on the clock to win the game. BDS was in shock.
In 1998 Joe Hamilton fumbled the ball on the last minute drive. UGA fans were laughing it up and making fun of GT fans. I remember getting stuff thrown at me in Samford while cries of "You suck" rang through the air. Joe then fumbles the ball and the UGA fans started going ape **** in celebration. The ref rules down by contact with the ground and the replay showed it was very questionable. We then drive to within field goal range and Brad Chambers ices it. The entire 4th quarter I sat watching the game underneath the stadium on TV next to the mens room. Why you ask? Because everytime during the game I walked out of my seats to take a piss, something great happened for GT. So to ensure that we sealed the win, I stood outside the mens bathroom in samford watching the 5 second delay on TV and guaging my reaction to events by how quiet the UGA fans were inside the stadium. I gave up actually watching the game so that I could take part in the overall planetary mojo that was settling around Samford stadium. Maybe I'm crazy, but we won and to this day, I am convinced had I been sitting in my seats, we would have lost. My friends at the game completely agreed. You had to be there.
In 1999, Tech fans were really giving it to the UGA fans as we had a comfortable lead going into the 4th qtr. UGA then makes a come back and looks like they are going to steal the game with Quincy Carter at the helm(who once was the highest rated recruit for GT and then went to play baseball, when he decided to play football 3 years later, he spurned the Jackets for the Dawgs). On the last play, Sanks fumbled the ball at the goal line in the waning seconds of the game and blew the UGA come from behind win. In reality he didn't but the SEC refs still screwed UGA and Tech sealed the overtime fate where we kicked a field goal to win the game.
Every year the gods of fate **** with the outcome of this game. I don't want to encourage them. I will drop dead if UGA ties GT's record for most consecutive wins in this series which is 8. I just cannot fathom that outcome and don't want to. Do not tempt them.
