- Love seeing Boston, its been a while but the stadium/ field is not something to brag about. Their crowd or lack of a crowd was pretty bad. Just not a very good atmosphere in my book.

- Josh was having fun today, smiling the whole time on the sidelines, once we get this thing down we will be tough. He is the most dangerous QB in the ACC now, defenses are going to hate going against him, I chatted with Coach Spaziani after the game for a few minutes and he pretty much stated that exactly. He has really taken over as a leader as well, being very vocal this year on the sidelines. If you know Josh then you know he's more of a quiet type so this is great to see.

- Greg Smith might see some less time this week, he needs to learn to sustain a block, the coaches were not too happy. Drop balls, missed assignments. Greg needs to step up.

-A few unsung heroes today were Reid, Cooper, Bebe, and Lucas. These guys made some nice plays but probably wont get recognized as much. Rashaad had the nice pick but also was in on plenty of plays, he has a nose for the ball. Cooper played a lot and once he starts wrapping up will become a very nice safety for us. Bebe might be the best blocking WR in the conference, he takes pride in it. Lucas didnt touch the ball as much today but had some outstanding blocks, kid is a gamer and is all about the team.

- The D rose up to the challenge with the offense struggling. Really proud of how they played the 2nd half. We dont have much depth but we substituted well. Our front 4 game then fits the 2nd half.

- Really excited to see Sed do well except for the PF call. Kid is a ball of fire out there and a great individual who is finally getting his shot. Tony played well. Really great to get this win without two starting LB's. Kyle just makes plays out there.

- Did anybody know we had DB's who could actually play man coverage without a cushion? Nice to see the DB's drastic improvement from last season.

- Tyler fumbled the punt but the coaches have faith in him, hopefully he got his one out of the way. I look for him to keep his job back there.

- OL play needs to improve, we faced the best front 4 we will face this year though, those boys in the middle are huge and just abused us. For the option to improve the OL play has to get better first or we will just keep getting rushed into making bad decisions.

- Timeout before the FG at half was a nice call. Ended up being very big. Think that would of happened last year? NO. You got them, why not use them, great to see.

- These boys are in the best shape I have seen them since I have been around GT, we are low on numbers but our boys are in better shape then the teams we will play. Credit to Eric and his staff for their hard work.

- Special teams needs lots of work, especially field goals, we need to get the snapper and holder on the same page, Scott will be ok he is a tough kid and not your normal kicker.

- This was a huge win, this win could catapult us to a very nice season, the team is riding high in confidence now. Keep improving every week is the goal. I feel good about VT, the boys want revenge from last years drubbing.

- JD got beat up pretty good today, he looked exhausted and pretty sore after the game. Tomorrows rest will be well deserved.

- We will get our speedster Correy more involved next week, he will have a full week of practice and be ready to go for VT. Talked with Mario after the game and he seems like he is fine, just got a little banged up and had some cramps.

- With the depleted ACC, what better time then now to move to the top? Next week can set the tone, these boys know it and are ready to make some noise.

Awesome report as usual..thanks, Dem-

I was really impressed with Thomas' blocking today and he seems to be a leader as well..
Dwyer and Nesbitt really came to play 2day..
Totally agree with the db comment they aren't playing 10 yrds off like the past..

completely agree on this. Thomas had some great block and deserves a lot of the credit fir a few if the longer runs. Love the discipline!

Thanks Dem.

Two games and they are already PJ's team. Amazing.

Let's not froget 18- Calvin Booker, what a class act..He is an extra coach out there..Always getting people fired up, usually the first one to meet the players coming off the field..Glad to have him.

Thanks Dem!

Awesome report as usual.

Yesterday's win is exactly why I'm glad we've got PJ. This is not a game we win under Gailey.

And I'm supremely confident we'll improve every week this season! It's a great feeling!

Booker is really a great guy. Someone that inspires. He was the first one to support Scott Blair after he missed the 2nd FG today.

Next week's game is super critical. I would have gladly lost against BC to win against VT.

what time will it be? I'm hoping for a 3:30 start-

Dem,

thanks. Bebe was great. Dwyer is a beast with speed. the line looked poor but the dline was good and only got better.

why no Morgan Burnett on punts? He is such a playmaker. I think we'll keep fumbling more punts if he's going to keep the ball a foot from his body. He barely got hit and fumbled. Please MB back there.

assume kicking game will get better...punting is actually pretty good but Vt will try to block them so it will be different this week.

Go Jackets.

I will comment on 2 points of the game made.

-Bebe's blocking is understate. Does tons for moral and team comradarie. Really fired the sideline up every time. I think for this offense to work against the big boys the WR's have to block well.

-The offensive line struggled at times. BUT remember this offense is going to allow the DL to penetrate. It is designed to block in other areas and not necessarily right at the line. I think it was Voss that made that great block on the big Nesbitt run towards the end of the game. I still am novice at understanding how this offense is supposed to look in action, but I was impressed w/ the OL in the open field. Maybe dems can comment on what their responsibility is as it pertains to assignments in the open field.

No, not every DL is blocked on every play, but they're not supposed to penetrate the A gap.

That is basically true unless the the center is doing a scoop block. His responibility is then to keep the player from following the play. In fact he is encourage to allow the DL to pentrate/walking him out of the play as the DL as it negatively affects the DL angel of pursuit.

dems great report. Thank you!!

I have a question. I was talking with someone who is not necessarily an insider but somewhat close and he said that Nesbitt missed a lot of reads in the game. I wasn't quite sure what to make of that comment as Nesbitt obviously was the difference for us against BC.

In your opinion, are the coaches happy with Nesbitt's ability to run the offense?
