anyone's wagon here: but I have read over and over those those who posted:

"Dead Horse"
"BORING!!!!"
"Run out of gas!" or something similar and all posts re: that particular conversations ceased.

Why should one poster determine for several hundred? To me no way.If it is still on your mind/heart, it is still a free place to speak!!!

It happens when unbridled emotion takes over in this type of setting. The same happens in business. At my company, I have recently instituted strict rules on the proper use of email. In my situation, otherwise non confrontational clerks and the like were lobbing e-bombs at co-workers. It just seems when you give some people the ability to hide behind a keyboard, they will say anything.

New policy at my place: Any communication that requires thought before input will be off limits to email. REports, co. picnic announcements, etc. are fine for email. Otherwise, pick up the telephone.

probably because it is the same handful of posters that have said the same thing...over and over...for the past year on this board.

Most of the time, I do not even read their posts anymore because I know what it will say.

If it was the same opinions being expoused by different people...that would be different.

For example...one person may post that they wonder why the there has been so much rain in the Gulf this summer. One person would say Nino...another poster high uppers of cold air...but there are about 3-5 posters that would immediately blame it on CG. You could talk about Iraq, depth on the defensive line, the theory of relativity...and those same posters would blame it on CG. They never even post a good argument any more.

That is my theory on what some people mean when they say they are tired of people beating a 'dead horse'.

Techsamillion, since I am the one that made several of the remarks you mention in your post above, I wanted to respond. First my wagon is still upright and rolling.

I agree with your comments, if you have something to say feel free to say it. That is why I said what I said. Those were my thoughts so I felt free to express them. I knew before I posted them they would have little or no effect on anyone posting on the board, let alone 100's of my fellow participants. I can assure you we will continue to hear the Gailey is better than O'Leary argument from Ahso in the future. I pointed out to him that I for one had it down pat and did not think it beared repeating. I am sure those that agree with Ahso's point of view enjoy hearing it like some ambrosian chant that brings joy.

So bottomline my ability to express my opinion on here is only limited by the time I have to participate and the opinions and the creative thoughts I wish to share with my fellow Tech fans. I am sure the same is true for anyone else who wishes to participate. I will be out of town away from the computer for a few days so I will not be able to respond to further discussion on this topic so talk among yourselves until I return.

Go Jackets!

See, Jerry The Jacket, you read but still don't get it.

Your remark is totally false. I did not say the things you attribute to me. Why do you make up false statements to suit your agenda?

You sure don't have it down pat, because you misstated my posts.

I did not say Gailey is better than O'Leary. I did not say he was a better coach. Maybe you need to reread my posts and read a little slower.

I said Gailey's record of 7-6 in his first 13 games is better than any other coach at Tech in their first season. I also, said Gailey's record at Tech in his first 13 games was the same as O'Leary's record in his last 13 games with a preseason top ten team.

I also stated Gailey's credentials coming to Tech was better than O'Leary's credentials when he came to Tech.

Now, how do you get your false statements from that? I stated many times, I would wait until this year is over before passing judgement on Gailey as to his chances of success or failure.

Well, I have stated it again, do you think you can get it right this time? I stated the same FACTS again and again for those posters continually comparing how superior O'Leary was than Gailey.

Now, go find a quote by me that says, "Gailey is a better coach at Tech than O'Leary. I don't believe enough games have been coached by Gailey for anyone to make that determination.

I don't believe the remainder of the board are wanting me to continually post the same message, but I think they are smart enough to understand why I am doing so.

Like I said, the same message is posted to oppose the same anti-Gailey message posted by the Gailey bashers and lynch mob. Again, you are not obligated to read my posts. I grant you the right to skip them.

Why don't you oppose the same old message posted time and time again by the bashers and lynch mob. I will tell you why, you are in sympathy with them and love the elation from them. Why don't you state how boring their posts have become?

Father Time

ahso.. the fact that you are not sold on gailey despite the fact that you have developed some sort of fetish on these records you keep flaunting over & over doesn't speak, it shouts...

Jerry's Post (in part)

"Techsamillion, since I am the one that made several of the remarks you mention in your post above, I wanted to respond. First my wagon is still upright and rolling."

Thanks for answering the question Jerry, and others above. Also, it was a "lol" moment about your wagon. Good one!!

"When a FOCer shows supreme allegiance to chan bordering on unnatural Freudian attraction he attains the title of LOG (lover of gailey).. Who will be the first to walk down the yellow brick road and accept the prestigious "Golden Log Award" ? The nominees are ????"

As the school kid in the back row (who knows the answer) raises his hand and says, "Me, Me, Me",
so, I hope you will call on me BeeBad as your first nominee. Give me that "Golden Log", but be careful where you place it...no naughtiness, now.

(actually, however, I am more of a cross between a "Jungonian" and a "Skinnerarian")
