What a pathetic performance from ST's today. Another missed chip shot FG, Horrible kick and punt coverage. Punter mishandling snap and barely getting kick off. We were very fortunate these mistakes didn't come back to haunt us. We really need to work on our coverage teams. My guess is we are near the bottom of FB1 in yardage allowed on kick and punt returns.

We did block a kick which looked large and wasn’t the chip shot a 50 yarder that was a pretty narrow miss? Punter is an issue for sure. Kick stuff was bizarre as well.

It’s weird because special teams was great against Syracuse (except for Birr, naturally).

The punter bobbling the snap when it hit him right in the hands in a critical situation is a firing offense. He can do the job but he's unreliable. Unacceptable. But he's a senior and will be serviceable with the right admonition for the rest of the season. The coverage on ST stunk to high heaven. The overall play was spotty and erratic with some spotty and dumbshit coaching mixed in. However. A win is a win and that's what we traveled up there to come home with and we did. Good job, Jackets! And thank the good Lord.

For the most part our kickoffs have been going through the end zone, but there have been a few returned over the last couple of weeks.

Birr is now 5-5 from 20-29 and 1-5 from 40 and above. Hasn't attempted from 30-39 yet.
