Spring Practice Start Date

I believe I read we start Spring Practice on March 24 which is still a few weeks off. After seeing all the coverage from top to bottom of ajc.com of the imbreds in Athens I was wondering why we were starting several weeks later. I'm sure spring break has something to do with it...any thoughts?

I assume spring break is the main reason. Our only other option would be to start the week before spring break, but that only gives us a week of practice before the week off.
