And I was in New Fricking Jersey. And I had barbecue sauce on my shirt.
I don't think she got an invitation. Was sportsbroad there?
I think everyone's goals are the same: to win every game in every sport. He did actually say that "winning" is the first of the GTAA's goals or vision statements or whatever.Has he ever stated what his on the field or court goals are?
If he thinks anything will change, from attracting more fans and selling more tickets, by just being competitive in the ACC Coastal then nothing will really change.
And it may well be that many “younger” fans don’t think beating ugag is important. Keep telling yourself that. The abyss has not been discovered that will stop how far GT will fall if things continue as they have.
Am I the only one that misread the thread title as Stansbury Steaks?

I really wish the GTAA will get to the day that it has a bold clear big vision for a complete future overhaul of BDS. Engineered from the ground up for great seating, noise capture, and an immersive experience. But to do so requires a complete rebuild and doing something with (demolishing and finding space elsewhere or within the scope of the rebuild) Edge, Wardlaw, BMSSC, Lyman, and Emerson. The room is there to do all that in the rectangle between Power Plant Dr, Bobby Dodd Way, and Techwood Dr. But I don't suppose anybody has a spare $500 million laying around do you? And if you do, why does the GTAA still walk around carrying $225m+ in bond debt to the tune of a higher interest payment than scholarship disbursement payment (OUCH!).
Check the link I provided above. It'll say right there in the offering statement. And I'm not sure our debt situation is overwhelming, exactly. 13% of budget is paying for our housing. How's that compare to the average (prudent) homeowner's mortgage burden. Genuinely don't know.I am a little concerned about the yaya about capex spending when we have such an overwhelming debt situation. Interest rates are going up. I wonder what our average interest rate is now.
Which post number for the link?Check the link I provided above. It'll say right there in the offering statement. Apologies, it was in a different thread.Which post number for the link?
— Uniforms and shoes are a top-three recruiting item. Reality is that people really, really care about this stuff. And we've been recruiting with one arm behind our back for years. The new Adidas deal helps level the playing field in that regard.
Kind of sad that recruits care so much about something so shallow and ultimately meaningless when deciding where they're going to spend the next 3-5 years of their life.
But, that's just the unfortunate reality I guess.
Great post, thanks.
That's a fair perspective. But actually Stansbury pointed out that at Oregon St he used to visit the sponsoring manufacturer's company store (Nike, I assume?). He said you'd see millionaire professional athletes in that store with shopping carts full of shoes and apparel because they could get it at a discount. The point was not that millionaires are cheap, but that it isn't just teenagers who care about fashion. A lot of successful grown-ups do, too. Hey, fashion is one of the ways we communicate with others — and GT was not communicating to recruits that it took football seriously with Russell.Kind of sad that recruits care so much about something so shallow and ultimately meaningless when deciding where they're going to spend the next 3-5 years of their life.
