FWIW, Chastain & Tindel was the structural engineer. Theron (T. Z. Chastain) was the founder. He's a Tech guy.

I doubt he gives AF nor does the inbred fanbase. The NCAA won't do anything to stop it either.
 
Yeah but then the column would be at half court.

So what they really need to do is build an arch over the court then put a column on top of the arch that reaches the rest of the way to the ceiling.
In baseball you can have hills and trees in the outfield and it adds character. I think a column at half court would be pretty entertaining. :dunno:
 
While we're at it, move the goal posts back to the goal line for football...and use three columns for support.
That would be fine, as long as we could get "College" football back.
