We don’t take strong enough proactive steps to satisfy the ncaa. And that isn’t ugag’s fault or the news media’s fault or the ncaa’s fault.

In the well known example all we had to do was not tell the coach certain things and to hold out one player out of one game.

But we allow ourselves to sit around a whine about crap instead of taking care of the problem. And nothing ever gets solved.

This, so much this. I swear we focus so much on UGAG that our own success is secondary to any negative stories they have. The NCAA is a hypocritical joke anyway.

I assure you UGAG doesn’t give a dang about us except for the end of November, but we have so many that obsess over them here daily. Focus on our successes and everything else works itself out.

I assure you that you’re full of shit. Just because your dwag buddies tell you they don’t give a shit about Tech doesn’t mean they actually don’t give a shit. We could lose 100 games in a row to them and we’re still in their heads. Them saying they don’t give a shit about Tech is a way for them to get in our heads, which in your case they seem to have accomplished.
 
If you’ve ever yelled To Hell with georgia, you should probably know, there’s nothing worse than hell. You condemn them to hell, but you think it’s a ööööing joke? You think it’s good old fashioned fun? Hell is eternal damnation. Hell is agony without an expiration date. So next time, mean it or don’t ööööing say it. And don’t tell the rest of us what it means to be a Tech fan.

As you outline it of course it is stupid.

But the fact remains that if we had competent advice (legal or whatever that would have laid out ALL the ramifications) that GTAA & AD would have said “for the benefit of the team and program this one player has to sit out this one game”.

Jeez, I maybe wrong but I think that still had ramifications with our recent MBB NCAA problems.

I’m guessing the punishments are designed to deter cheating. As such, we can expect uga’s recruiting to fall over the next couple years. Otherwise, it pays to cheat.

I wonder if this will reveal it pays to cheat

It doesn’t matter what we did then or do moving forward. There are the haves and have nots in college sports. The have nots put up with it cause the money is better than rocking the boat.
