After watching film of last year's game today, man it would have helped us to be in the pistol.
Utah got so much penetration at guard-center-guard that Tevin really didn't have time to even make a read before arms were getting to him.
But he also had plenty of bad throws, pitches and reads, which continue to baffle me.
Just as an aside – The more film I go back and watch, the more I wish people would stop coddling and defending he QB who has started 31 games now and has made minimal improvement. That said:
Reasons we lost:
1) CPJ conservative playcalling after going up 24-10.
2) 3 missed field goals
3) 2 Utah TD's on 4th downs, a 4th and goal at the 8 with 7+ minutes left and a 4th and 14 with 90 seconds left (AHHH why is Jemea in press coverage on 4th and 14 when we routinely play with lax 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 2?!?!?!??!?!?!?)
