You want annoying? Try listening to "Rocky Top" for the umpteenth time as the Pride of the Southland tries to bring up the ghost of General Neyland. Gee I used to hear it in my sleep for days afterwards.

The year 1983, Driving back from the game in Knoxville my dad wakes me up after I was singing it in my sleep. Having to listen to that song on top of getting my arse whipped by reggie white was all I could take.

That's why I'm glad the game is in Atlanta this year. Much less annoying with the student section's alternate lyrics.

Spelling chants/fiht songs blow. Maybe the J-E-T-S is OK, but Clemons and FSU really suck. hEY
 
Sorry for the weird post, finger slip. But we could always do a Cincy Bengals fight song. Very sissy like, just like spelling.

For comparison, aside from white and gold, ramblin' wreck, and "F tuning" GT band plays our most used song - probably Mortal Kombat - about 5-7 times per GAME.

I remember hearing something like ' T-E-C-H, Go Tech' from the pep rally at Atlantic Station in 06. Spelling is ok as long as it's one of the several chants. Definitely doesn't belong to a fight song like Clempson's if I remember correctly.
 
I'm not a big fan of spelling chants.

I think YELLOW .... JACKETS is a pretty good one.

Since this board pretty much owns its own section I bet we could put together something that could spread quickly. Any thoughts on when we'd want to try to start a chant?

I'd think any time its especially quiet, commercials, official timeouts, etc. Most downs on O and D have songs by the band anyway.
