I hope that list includes Dontae Aycock and Darren Myles. IT should after we hang 40 on LSU and make them look like fools.

Izaan Cross
Dontae Aycock
Euclid Cummings
Nolan Macmillan
Ricky Johnson
Darren Myles
Mike Gilliard
Courtney Dalcourt (depends)
surprise
I don't think we take both Nolan and Gus (not sure about that though). I also don't think we take both Joel, Ricky, and Luke since they're all A-Backs I believe. I think the order of priority would be Ricky then Joel then Luke, but that's just good speculation. I like our chances a lot with Cross and Aycock. Good shot also at Cummings and Macmillan. Dalcourt is a big variable because we won't take him if Aycock commits first supposedly. Our chances are decent at Myles, and slight longshot for Gilliard, but I'd be ecstatic if we get them, and I think we'll win big over LSU and close with a bang.

This is a heck of a class either way, imo.

we are out of it for Myles

I'll start at 17 because I think that we will lose Jemea Thomas by Signing Day:

17 Euclid Cummings

18 Joel Kight

19 Nolan Macmillan

20 Courtney Dalcourt

21 Ricky Johnson

22 Dontae Aycock

23 Mystery Prospect

24 Luke Swift

** Yeah, I left off Izzan Cross. I think that he gets his Florida offer late and becomes a Gator. Also, I don't see Darren Myles or Marsalis Teague becoming Yellow Jackets.

Why would we take so many A-Backs: Johnson, Kight, and Swift? I know we're recruiting all 3, but it seems that 2 of them are backup plans.

Wow, that stinks, and is surprising. Any details as to why?

His dad is also the head football coach at Carver High....also Demond Dennis' head coach. He is disgruntled about Dennis not passing The Hill. It's an attitude problem with daddy. This stinks...as we always need big-time superstar potential safeties.

The top 6 likely commits that have offers:
1) Dontae Aycock (80%)
2) Izaan Cross (95%)
3) Ricky Johnson (50%)
4) Courtney Dalcourt (60%)
5) Euclid Cummings (80%)
6) Nolan MacMillan (50%)

The last 2:
1) Mike Gilliard (would love to get him; 40%)
2) Joel Kight or Luke Swift will commit if offered....I like Joel Kight much better....and so do many other schools like BC and OKSt.

I would say we are out of it with Marsalis Teague despite what he says. Lets see if he shows up for his visit....and if the visit wows him enough to pass Florida (leager), Tenn, and Alabama.

Gus Handler may get an OL offer if MacMillan does not commit.

Victor Gray may get a DE offer if Cummings or Cross does not commit. I really like Gray.

What? Why would Jemma Thomas leave?

Heard that he was still shopping around and that he would take some officials elsewhere. Heard that he described his visit to Tech as "all right." That doesn't sound too enthusiastic to me. He may become a Jacket, but right now, I think we are more of a place holder.

Dad sounds like an a-hole.

Who wants to bet that we have few "attitude problems" under CPJ's tenure?

You are jumping to conclusions about his dad with no facts or inside knowledge. I'd cut him some slack. He is not only Dad but also Coach of DMjr and DD. These things have a way of working out and if DMjr doesn't want to come to Tech then we sure don't want him here.

Your first paragraph is very disappointing to hear. I assumed that schools in the state knew who Georgia Tech was. It's even more amazing to hear a parent would hold back his kid from an elite school just to pout over another kid that didn't do things the Tech way. Life is just too short.

p.s. I wonder if PJ will bother with the city schools in the future.

I dont think 1 event at 1 school will affect our recruiting strategy for the whole city. That would be stupid. By the way, we have had some great players from the city schools.

Morgan Burnett
Keyaron Fox
Kelly Campbell

not to mention current players like Roddy Jones and Omoregie Uzzi

Aren't Roddy and Uzzi from Chamblee? That is not a city school if you are referencing City of Atlanta, perhaps I misunderstood.

That's a piss poor attitude about city schools. We're the local team and we should be getting everybody in metro atlanta. Get to 10 wins and we should build a "wall" around the city to keep in the talent.

The general thought is that Myles Sr. was protecting his player Dennis by saying he liked the opportunity at Troy more. We've known for awhile that grades were the real issue. Personally I think it's a classy move to keep Dennis from being embarrassed.

As far as Myles Jr. goes, I don't believe his decision is related to Dennis not getting into Tech.

Its a public school inside the perimeter. I guess it could go either way?

+1. It has been disappointing that a lot of 4/5 star talent has left the city, but the there is a problem with many of the city kids clearing "the hill".
