Got back this afternoon from Doak Cambell and wanted to chime in just like everybody else! We got there kind of late in the day, so weren't even on campus too long before the game started. A few stupid fans chanting FSU or "Georgia Tech sucks" at us when we walked bye...but not too much after that. After the game though, we tried to stay classy although a few of our comments to ourselves might've been a little too loud. Especially after I said "Hey guys, wanna link arms and walk slowly back to the car". That was greeted with a "F$&* you mother F%$$ers!" Other than that....they weren't too bad. We all agreed though, that had to be the most pitiful fanbase ever after a game..

Second point: During the game, as was obvious we kept looking for defense or special teams to make some sort of turning point in the game. Multiple times we would say "I bet that's the turning point in the game." Starting with Nesbitt's fumble around our 30. The double fumble play though has got to be the biggest play of the night. As we moaned for yet another fumble, a fan with one of those GT radio ear piece things screamed "HE grabbed it back!" and the rest was history.

Go Jackets!

:laugher: Nice! So, did ya'll?

I gotta say: That arm-linked entrance was totally stupid in my opinion. There was also this totally staged moment before the game in which Bobby and Jimbo were posing for the cameras, laughing with their arms around each other, as if they were both holding up five pound basses with their other hands. To me, the arm-in-arm entrance and the fishing trip video-op just sends a loud and clear message that the turmoil behind the scenes is real. Real enough that they had to design and execute gestures of solidarity for everyone to see. I think they're having a beer summit at midfield for the next home game.

I agree with your assessment of the behind the scenes turmoil. lets face it, BB hasn't really been the "head coach" for a couple of years now. So by default, it's Fisher acting as the head coach, doing the game planning with the coordinators, etc. Fisher is way in over his head. His biggest contribution to the "game plan" was who was going to hold the towel so that cameras couldn't see the signals being sent in.:laugher:

the double-fumble was amazing!!! I was with some friends and when he dropped it, a collective "F***!" rang out, but when we saw him snatch it back as one of my buddies ran up to the TV screaming "Joshua Nesbitt!!! No you didn't!" haha

The double fumble was nice, but I thought the play of the game was when the two wide open FSU receivers ran into each other on 3rd down. If they get that, they probably go up two scores and we trail the rest of the night.

Haha, no we didn't actually do it. Another good comment though was "You know what FSU would be without Bobby Bowden? ........... Humid."

I told this middle aged lady with a "WE <3 BOBBY" shirt on that "we love Bobby too." She told me a I was a mean jerk :(. That's the only real comment I made afterwards, other than almost starting a "Bobby Bowden *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap*" chant in one of the tunnels which would have been awesome.
