It could be anything

1) Re-setting for specific branding; maybe even a new handle

2) He got offered a better job. OC for a smaller school?

3) It wasn’t official and he jumped the gun.

4) Maybe he didn’t deliver Gibbs and that was part of the deal.

Seems like an odd choice if true. Sark is not someone you want to tie your career to. His time at USC was a trainwreck. I'd be surprised if UT fans tolerate two losing seasons in a row. Even a much better coach (Herman) couldn't cut it there.

Still hope Choice goes to USC, learns from Riley, gets the appropriate connections and possibly returns as HC in a few years and brings with him some competent coordinators.

Sark is getting more than two years. Texas can't keep firing coaches.

There is no way UT fans tolerate two straight losing seasons. They gave Strong a third season but I don't see that happening again. Sark isn't rebuilding anything. Herman left him with a solid team.

Lol… good for him. We couldn’t afford to keep a guy with this much shine on his star unless we gave him the OC or HC position. Maybe one day he’ll be ready for that sort of move.

Living in Texas, and being married to someone who went to UT, I can tell you Sark is going to get at least three years. Most people realize that there is an institutional problem that isn't going to get fixed overnight. Unlike Collins, Sark was actually close to a good season this past year.
