Tashard Choice will have 1700+ rushing yards this season

If TC gets 1700 yards this season, we will go to a BCS bowl.

if TC wants to hit 1700, he'll have some making up to do after the ND game ;-)

actually, i fully expect him to run for over 100 yards against ND's porous DL

and my goal is to make $200k, but i don't see it happening.

yeah if he gets 1800 we are 12-1 and in the BCS.

FYI; there are many on this team including the staff that think we can run the table.

I don't have that expectation...I personally think 8-4 or 9-3...but I am just saying....

Isn't that pretty much what we as fans should expect of the team? I want my team to believe that they can win every game and go undefeated. I know for some teams it's an impossibility, but I don't think that's the case for our team. Regardless, you have to believe in your team or you definitely won't go undefeated.

there is a difference in between actually believing it...and hoping...most teams hope...but yes of course I want a team with the attitude we can win every game.

I like to take off my gold colored glasses and try to be very realistic when I make predictions and/or analysis. I have dissected this season everyway that I know how and I can say with complete confidence and honesty that I think that we will go 9-3 during the regular season and place second in the Coastal Division.

That being said, Tashard rushed for almost 1500 yards in 14 games last season. Assuming that my prediction of a 9-3 regular season is true, we would miss on Jacksonville this year and would not get a 14th game. However, there were six games last year in which Choice did not even have 20 carries. I think that it is safe to assume that, barring injury, Choice will carry the football at least 25 times per game this year. If he can maintain last years average yards per carry of 5.0, then over a 13 game season he would accumulate just over 1625 yards.

Of course there are other variables such as the potential for Tashard to carry the football 30+ times in a single game or on the other side, a blowout game where the back ups get a lot more carries. Nevertheless, I would agree that Choice will get to 1700+ yards. However, he will most likely need the ACC Championship Game to top the 1800+ mark.

I can say with complete confidence

Nothing in college football can be said with COMPLETE confidence. The game is unpredictable. Giants fall to Div2 pushovers. That's why I don't bet on college football - or sports in general for that matter. As soon as you place a sure bet, the unthinkable will happen.

I can say with complete confidence that Duke will not be in the ACC Championship this year. ;)

No doubt. College football spreads are damn near impossible to figure. So much rides on emotion.

I mean "complete confidence" in the process that I use to predict, not in the outcomes.

I can say with complete confidence that I will be drunk by halftime.

For sure, I don't expect us to go undefeated. But like you said it's nice to have a team with coaches and leaders who believe that we can.

I just bought an XM Radio, and will be driving down to the boat friday to change the oil and install the unit before the game saturday.

So hell, I could be drunk the day beforehand. Woot.
