We are a good 15-25th ranked team now. I don't think we should be much higher than that until we find a kicking game.
 
Ah at this point in the season it really doesn't matter. It's only good for water cooler arguments. 4 weeks from now is where I want to see where we are, just win and it all takes care of itself. Polls mean nothing right now, just create false arguments

I do not think that anyone who has paid any attention to football in general would rate Cal, Oregon, Okie St, Ole Miss, or Georgie ahead of us, but the pollsters all have their own agenda.
 
The fact that there are WILD shifts just goes to show you how ridiculous having polls this early in the season really is.

Cal drops from 6th to 24th, 18 spots
Ole Miss drops from 4th to 21st, 17 spots
Iowa goes from 31st to 13th, 18 spots
Miami goes from 20th to 9th (11 spots) and then from 9th drops to 17th (8 spots)

These are just a few of the massive shifts in position. To me it just says that people have no idea how to rate these teams at this point in the season.

It's the reason the BCS rankings don't come out until Week 8.

Also, this is just another argument for playoffs. Even after Week 8, you have unbeaten teams beating top ranked squads. There is far to much parity in college football to pick the two best teams after merely 12 games. I can't tell you how many times wildcard teams make it to the Superbowl in the NFL.

Who cares?

There are 3 rankings. First, second, and everyone else.

Being the 25th or 14th ranked team doesn't concern me, being tied for first in the acc coastal does.
