Tech approves alcohol sales at sporting events.

It will come as no surprise to anyone that I'm totally opposed to selling alcohol at football games. There's enough incoherent rage coming out of me already.

This wouldn’t change my gameday experience at all. Still more effecient to sneak a flask in.

Its only a matter of time:

"A decade ago, the number of top-tier Division I schools selling booze to the masses at their football games was less than a dozen. Heading into the 2018 season, 52 out of 129 Football Bowl Subdivision programs have turned on the taps at either on- or off-campus venues"

"For Chrissakes, it's legal to buy pot in Colorado," said Chuck Neinas, the 84-year-old former NCAA administrator who once banned beer sales at the CWS in 1964."

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue left on the table. I think WVU quotes 600-700k/yr

It's a lot cheaper getting drunk before the game but it makes it harder to find your seat.

So don't buy the alcohol. But let me if I want. If it is offered.

I will be the judge of how incoherent my rage is, Sir. The meds have been working well lately.

Georgia Tech is as lenient as you can be with open container on campus on game day. If someone wants to be inebriated in the stadium they already are. We're just pissing money away for some strange perception issue. Georgia State is already selling beer at Turner Field. The product they're selling is hot garbage but they're doing a better job of selling it than Tech and that's not the only way.

They're lenient because they have to be, it's perfectly legal to have open containers on campus.
