Tech Fans Need To Go On Strike

The GTAA, the same organization that sent out best wishes to the Georgia football team in the national championship game and whose written contracts will be turned into a textbook of how not to do business at law schools and business schools, may actually have a clue about how Tech fans feel. But, they don't care. We don't need to tell them anything. We need to cut off all their funds. When these people cannot pay themselves, then and only then will they and their bosses start caring about what the few remaining Tech fans think. No more contributions, no more attendance, no more ticket buying, no more respect until they stop their insensitive snobby ways and change things so much they will not think they have come to the right place when they get to work in the morning. And double that for Cabrera. He pretends to care, but does nothing to save the situation. They are all disgraceful. After what happened on Grant Field Saturday, I can't believe it's business as usual for them today, all at the expense of fans they laugh at.

Here's that stupid logic again:

Tech fans: GTAA needs to spend money to fire current coach and hire new coach
Tech fans: I'm not giving GTAA any of my money

Maybe the GTAA could start a fire-the-coach exclusive fund where you can target your money directly to this fund? I know I would certainly donate until it hurts to this cause.

Ideas for the strike:
- Shame walk for YJA
- fans dress like Handmaiden’s Tale
- airplane banner(2)
- classic paper bag heads
- everyone dress as clowns
- a video of Gef saying not to drink and drive

If you look at the stadium, I think a lot of fans are already on strike.

I'm considering flying in for the Duke game just to boo collins in YJA and wear a brown paper bag.

Or, they can find a way to fund the buyout, get back to winning and watch the money faucet get turned on again. Buyout would be paid off in no time. Somebody would just need to find a real coach and the circle of winning can resume again.

Have you walked through campus lately? It is definitely not like the campus 20 or 30 years ago. If all the students that cared about football enough to stage a walkout assembled, they may all fit in O’Keefe gym
This is so true. I'd been living out of the state for a while so this year I wanted to make sure I actually can make it out to some games. I went to Rocky Mountain with a couple of buddies (not GT guys) and we showed up maybe 10 minutes before game time. I'm like well öööö we're gonna be screwed for seating. Nope. Walked right up to the bar, 3 seats right next together. When I was in school Rocky Mountain was 3 deep an hour before kickoff on game days. It's like the kids don't even give a öööö anymore. And honestly, who can blame them?

That image would be king if it were gefs head being thrust into the air.

I'm not going to do that. It isn't enjoyable, but I will continue to show my support for the athletes, band, cheerleaders, etc. who make their best effort to entertain us every week, while quite vocally expressing my displeasure with the coaching staff.
Guess it is personal preference and a difference in perspective. I am simply too old to spend pretty much my whole Saturday doing something that is not enjoyable.
