Tech to play Kansas

NICE! That's a start... Is this what would have been the UCLA vs GT game?

I think the UCLA game was a tentative Chick-fil-a opener. Definately need to schedule more games like this. Very cool.

I'm assuming this is to replace Ole Miss. I like that matchup but I would rather have OM still.

I think this choice will please most parties. Fair compromise between those who want strong opponents and those who want best chance to get sure win. It's an opponent who will compete in their division, get to a decent bowl game, but won't be a sleeper pick for the national title game.

I'm excited...that's nice! I still would have liked Ole Miss I think, Ole' Miss just wouldn't want to risk getting stung by the Jackets maybe Houston Nutt isn't such a Nutt....:P, sorry I had to throw the corny joke in there.

Kansas and GT will be a great match up and a game that a lot of people will enjoy!

Would have preferred Ole Miss, but my brother lives in KC -- so might make a road trip out of this and go to the game and see his family as well.

This. These are the kind of OOC games we should be looking for (maybe a little less strong actually...). Recognizable name, but a good chance to beat them.

Closer games would be better. But a quality opponet found on short notice.

This game worries me...

...Mangino might sit on and break some of our nice stuff.

We should handle them easily---and it is much better than playing Gardner-Webb or Samford.

Zero football history and no credibility playing in the Big 12 North. Great.

I would have rather played UCLA.

We should beat Kansas easily next yr. They lose Reesling(QB-i think thats his name) and their two top recievers. Should be a romp.

Under the circumstances, this is a great team to fill the void left by Ole Miss. This is much better than playing a low level division I team (yes, division I, not whatever they want to call it now) but it also pleases those who don't want to play a big name team in fear of a "too hard game". I believe other teams with possible 10/11 openings were Mizzou, USC (west, with openings in 10 and 12, I think) and New Mexico. This is a great middle road for those choices. Keep the SoS higher while not running into a brick wall. Good play by Paul Johnson and the AA to pull a good team from a BCS conference.

I think it's a bad idea. Big Ten teams will prepare like they do for Nebraska. We will have to win this game on defense. Scary.
