Tech 'Way Behind' in Facilities

Interesting times we live in... MBob basically got called to the mat. I think we have to be careful on this because:
- We won't get what Alabama has. They spent way too much on those upgrades. They're nice, but in all seriousness, there are some pro teams with "lesser" facilities.
- Clemson is newly rich. The theme park is great, but we that's not practical for Tech.
- Were we to do that kind of thing, it would cost 2-3 times as much because we would have to relocate dorms, academic buildings, etc. plus, we are in downtown, where real estate is very expensive.
- I think we can leverage the fact that we are in Atlanta. Use that and have the town market for you. Turner, the movie business, the hall of fame... Leverage what you DO have that they don't.

Is it 59 chicks?
It sounds like it would be with members of the Clemson football team. No Bueno

But if it was chicks, I don't think you would choose the cold tub due to...significant shrinkage.

It's not that we have terrible facilities, we just need to update them. They're nice but they need to be updated. I don't think we're "way behind", but we do need to step it up a little bit.

What happened to the allure of having a Tech degree?

I can't be sure but there is a whiff of Johnson and mBob talking to each other thru the reporter.

I know when I want something at work, I don't go to my boss, I go straight to the press to tell them how much better everyone else has it.

Having a bowling alley or whatever may be a nice treat for recruits but if I was the coach, I'd want my players coming to the football center for treatment, weights or to watch film.
Didn't we have an indoor facility long before Georgia built one? Didn't that really chap Richt's ass at the time?

let the city market for you hasn't worked for this long, do you seriously reckon the kids don't know where the school is or that we don't try to sell that we're in the middle of Atlanta? If the city marketing for us was such an advantage, then state would get 4-5*s year round. They are closer to Edgewood where a lot of these kids like to go and they have better talent in the girl department.

If the kids are wowed by barber shops and bowling alleys in the locker room then give it to them. We're always complaining about recruiting being subpar, let the man have more staff, better salaries for the coaches, and better facilities to wow the kids.

I know that when one of my employees who is coming off a worst job performance in 20+ years starts making demands, I really give a shit what they want at work.

Obviously 4 years of wiffle ball and laser tag >>> a GT degree.

Pretty silly and child-like for CPJ to be making these comments publicly. Even if it's something he believes, don't say it in public. Not to mention CPJ not really in position to make demands.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once, I'm siding with diseqc on this one.

Or like how a bunch of interns signed a petition to change work policies?
