Tech's offense since ND 2015

We are going to have to effectively pass. Hit short routes right over the top of blitzing safeties. That is the only was to prevent that crap.

O-linemen need to man up and engage the guys in front of them. Instead they are letting them past so they can belly flop trying to cut a linebacker in the second level. Meanwhile, the guys they let past are blowing the play up in the backfield.

Everyone know the triple option is only effective in bowl games like the Orange Bowl. It will never work in the regular season

WR play didn't scare anyone, so the safeties can cheat.
OL whiffing on the 2nd level (LB).

Study any 5 plays from the BC game. You'll see a ton of our OL whiffing on cut blocks, & their man gets in the backfield.
I don't know if that's a technique thing or a strength thing or a late-getting to your assignment thing.

This is what I saw. It's a blocking technique issue. Mostly blocking at the second level. Poor coaching IMO. I don't think we have successfully executed a block on the MLB since 2014. It comes down to 2 things:

1. The OG or OT is trying to cut block a LB who is 30-40 lbs lighter in the open field. The LB uses his hands to beat the cut and goes and makes the tackle.
2. The A-back fly up field and completely whiff.

I do wish we'd call more of those A-back counters (one AB motions to the right then JT5 hands he ball to the other AB who darts left) and underneath throws to the B-back.
