Thanks Buster

Dude, half your post is simply false. Just own it.

I also am wondering what the heck that play was supposed to be, but it's because the OL was apparently wondering the same and turned to watch instead of block. That play, whatever it was, never had a chance.
A 2 QB set is a great formation between the 40s because there are a zillion things you can do with 40-60 yards of turf that the defense has to cover. From inside the ten, zone/man/hybrid all dissolves into “ok, find the ball and hit it”. Its like using a tank to shoot at something 10’ away. It was ill conceived and the body language of our offense had “why the hell are we doing this now?” written all over it.

I think we may have dodged a bullet by not hiring Todd Monken. I remember hearing some talk about him being a potential candidate after last season.

He's doing nothing with the Baltimore Ravens offense. People thought that he would turn the Ravens into some offensive juggernaut.

Half this post is proving my original.

It was a bad call
Got bailed out later by a worse call by Miami and fantastic play by GT defense then a miracle play from our QB and WR
But it was a stupidly bad call
It looked like they didn’t even practice whatever they had planned

To be fair there were lookout blocks on that play. But still.

Miami had the perfect blitz dialed up. They sent a CB blitz from the boundary and the H-back completely whiffed whoever he was trying to block and Pyron had 2 guys on him before he knew it. We could have run the same play without ZP in there and it would have resulted in the same. Maybe they wanted to see if Miami would burn a TO or get confused with the alignment but there wasn't anything really "trick" about the play call.
