Tech football is fun again!!!

We have the look and feel of a real team again! This feels like O'Leary's first team in '95. This group is playing with passion and flying to the ball like we haven't seen in years.

Key won't go 8-0, but what a much needed injection of no-nonsense energy he has pumped into the program. I'm rooting with everything I've got for him to earn the FT job.

At the beginning of the year penciling in Ls for Clemson & Ole Miss, a W against W Car, a split on the road at Pitt & UCF and a W at home for homecoming with Duke would have been fine with most fans. 3-3.

With Collins, Tech would likely be 1-5, so 3-3 looks better than that but it represents what you would have expected. Let's give CBK a chance to do better than just exceed Collins before he is anointed.

Well you got the part about 8-0 correct.

That’s all you got? We were 22 point dogs and won. Name the last time we won when we were Three Touchdown plus underdogs?

We hadn’t beaten a ranked team on the road in six years.
It was a great win. Doesn’t mean Pitt was ranked properly. Let’s check their ranking at years end and we can better gauge how great it was.

Going in talent wise I thought Tech should be able to compete with both Duke and Pitt. Figured Pitt would probably grind out a win and Duke would be a complete toss up. I’ll give Key credit for winning a game well that I didn’t think he could. And would have bet money against him winning back to back. So kudos to those successes even if I still don’t care much for him personally.
