Was a fluke.

Was there for the taking, despite 3 giveaways, numerous penalties, and a couple missed passes on wide open fly routes.
The BS late hit call on Johnson on 4th down basically handed them a field goal to win the damn game.
**** the Turkeys.
The only problem is our defense is totally different from last year. We're going to have to score 35+ if we want to win, imo.A key difference this year. Josh's passing has improved a little, and Bebe is still Bebe---and on the other side we have a credible receiver in Stephen Hill---who, BTW, can block too. If we make only three or four more plays than we did last year, we win.
Helmet to helmet, not late hit.
My memory gets foggy, but wasn't the BC and VPISU games basically us running one or two plays? All I seem to remember is the veer, and the toss sweep.
Most of our yards came on this play:
"Nesbitt drops back to pass....oh shi**...no one blocked. Josh scrambles around for his life while RB Clyburn and Zach Fisher try to get open. Josh makes 1 guy miss and falls forward for a 6 yard gain.
VT has seen our other plays on tape. Not that it will make a difference in our execution. If we block we will execute.

Did we run much midline, counter, counter-veer? I feel like we have a LOT more offense that VPI didn't see last year that we will be bringing to the table.
I'm curious to see if CPJ will throw any new formations at VPI ala F$U. The trips formation was not necessarily new, but sending the A back in motion from the slot was, which neutralized any scheme that F$U had devised.
Just throw it in the bag.Our best play in that game was the Nesbitt scramble around and gain yards play. The offense couldn't really do much right up at that point.
Bebe was hurt as was Earls. Our 3 wrs were Melton, Fisher Clyburn. TFR and 2 walkons. Dwyer got hurt in the game. We turned it over before half to give them points, fumbled a punt to give them points. And their game winning drive included a stupid facemask penalty by us and a bad helmet to helmet call, both on 3rd and long IIRC.
