20% of our plays last year were passes. A backs are almost universally out in the pattern for these plays. The remaining 80% are rushes.

22% of our rushing plays last year were A-back carries, if you credit half of Cox's carries to the A position. A backs obviously carry the ball on these plays. That's 17% of total plays they carry the ball.

Bs and QBs (taking half of Cox's carries as a B) accounted for 58% of total plays from scrimmage last year. If you assume half of those carries were on the triple and half were some other 2 man option, and further assume that on the triple one A blocks and one A is the pitch, then As act as the pitch man on the triple 12% of the time.

20% Receiver
17% Ball Carrier
15% Pitch Man Decoy.

The rest is blocking. 48% of the job is blocking.

49% blocking! That is about 5% more blocking than our OL is doing this year.

Seriously, I would love to see Cox get more playing time this year.

I'm going to hate myself for doing this:

48% blocking is what your looking for....

Damn, beej. that is the 2nd numbers mistake you have made recently. Someone is going to take away your Tech degree soon. ;)

I'd forgotten to include Jaybo's and Booker's rushing totals in the math, so was trying to fix that, and didn't get it entirely fixed before comments started pouring in.
