The Bama / VPI pillowfight...

It's hypothesized that the same sort of mutation was behind the 1918 spanish flu epidemic that killed millions.
the difference between now and then is that the transfer of information is infinitely greater than at that time. people know and hear about these things on a day-to-day basis when in those times, by the time they were aware of the diseases they had already been ravaged by them.

I digress... I hope that the vaccine is disseminated promptly

**** that. I don't want any part of a vaccine where the makers have been given perpetual legal immunity over it's side effects and the last time there was a swine flu vaccine more people ended up getting Guillain-Barre Syndrome (and dying) from it than died of the flu.

Is your problem with the legal immunity or with the vaccine itself?

I remember the swine flu debacle of the late 70s and have not taken a flu shot since.

Ignorant. One of my parents friends died from swine flu and now over 100 students on campus have it...myself included. Way to try to be funny and come out looking like a jackass.

Don't think you need to attack the guy, dude. He didn't know.

Yeah, my fraternity brother mentioned that swine flu is at Tech. Pretty crazy.

I actually know a guy whose cousin died of complications with the medicine used to treat swine flu.
