Offense:
  • We move the ball, a lot.
  • CPJ doesn't fumble the damn ball.
  • You don't have to have that great of a passing game, if you don't give the damn ball away.
  • Catching the damn ball would help out a lot, too.
  • Next year I expect much less turnovers and penalties.
Defense:
  • I see improvement.
  • It will get better.
  • Needs to grow up and get stronger.
  • Probably need a much stronger DL, this is key. I don't know if this is possible right now.
Special Teams:
  • The worst.
  • We need a special teams coach, steal one from Navy or something.
Recruiting:
  • Our FIVE best seniors are either in the NFL or on the sideline with a broken arm. This hurts in a lot of areas, including special teams because the best young guys should be practicing more special teams than being the actual starters.
  • CPJ's recruits are very young, which contributes to the fumbles, the lack of strength and discipline.
Coaching
  • I don't think this team has a coaching issue outside of special teams.
  • CPJ has system and it works. It would help a lot if we get some seniors out there who have played in the system for all of their career.
  • Al Groh, I feel the same way as I do CPJ.
I'm just glad the season is over. I didn't expect it to go so wrong, but I didn't expect this many turnovers and possibly the worst special teams play in the nation. I do look forward to some QB competition, and the young guys stepping up with more experience AND discipline. This team lacked focus, and we need that back.
