That’s not entirely true. The majority of portal players are busts, but Tennessee is out there killing it with a portal QB.

Not really any magic, but there are diamonds to be found. Hall was a nice pickup. Grabbing a year one guy isn’t too different than a HS pickup assuming the transfer isn’t because of a discipline issue.

OL pickups are harder. The players have already been in a S&C program, but OL is about playing as a unit. The one and dones have killed us tgere.
 
We are much more likely to repeat last yr with a hurt QB and a string of losses. Reality bites..
