The Collins era is officially worse than the Lewis era

Game is played differently

More up tempo, more possessions for each Team, more rules to protect & further Offense to make the game more TV friendly.

Changes in coaching strategies have lead to defenses having to cover 53 yds wide as well as 100 yds deep.

55 to zip & 45 to zip games now are equivalent to 31 to zip and 28-0 back in Lewis' days
Does this really make you feel better?

Assuming Collins is back next year, is the buyout considerably different if he's fired midseason vs. after? If not, and we're out of bowl contention at any point prior to the UGA game, he should be fired then. Let Choice coach COFH next year.

Lewis got shut out once (by National champ FSU), in a lower-scoring era. Collins just got shut out for the 3rd time, in an era where the offenses have all of the protections you describe. 4, if you count the Temple debacle, which I do.

This is a completely unprecedented level of ineptitude. No way around it. Our defense allowed season highs to what seemed like almost every opponent we faced this season, and now our offense has been shut out in back to back games. Compete and utter humiliation.
