Saw where they are launching a new network......The Football Network. Coming to a cable or satellite provider near you in 2003.

Football all year, all the time. Sounds like a great place for another league in the future, i.e. the USFL that played in the Spring. Otherwise, what will they be showing? They might have to dig down for those un-classics like that 1996 Southern Miss-Uga opener.

Anyone have any details?

I heard about a proposed all-NBA channel also, (with AOL-TimeWarner dumping millions into it) that is now all but wishful thinking. On the other hand, if cable/dish providers can justify carrying (no joke)an England vs India cricket PPV for the reasonable rate of $199.00, who knows?
 
Well, DirecTV already has the NBA Channel and the NFL Channel. The NBA Channel shows old classic NBA games during the off-season and other shows during the season, along with cut-ins to games. The NFL Channel shows alot of NFL Films features.
