The ghost of Reggie Ball haunted us tonight

Nesbitt's stats aren't helped by the fact that PJ was calling low percentage all or nothing pass plays.

I think its unfair to judge anyone next to Hamilton. Ham was the man. Ball would have been a beast for CPJ. CPJ would have humbled him enough to be the leader he wasn't. You cannot ever discount Reggie's heart.

please remove reggie's nuts from your mouth.

Heart? you're joking right. he had heart for 1 game against Auburn his freshmen year.

it was all about Reggie...all the time.

Heart on the football field is shown by being a leader and putting the team first.

he never did that....he was a waste of 100K having him at the Institute.

I wondered whether those were deep routes only or whether there was a shorter receiver that Josh was just never looking for. Perhaps someone with the video of the game can check that out.

I do not trust any guy to make a mesh / pitch read who ran out of the back of the endzone while scrambling for a safety.

Whether Reggie could play A would depend on his blocking, and WR on his blocking and hands. But there is no way he could play QB under Johnson.

Some people have mentioned that Reggie would do well in PJ's system. No way jose. His his split second decision-making ability sucked.

Reggie would have been fine - you only have to count to 3 for the triple option!

Can we please quit talking about Reggie Ball. I'd like to sleep well tonight

he's a cancer, a loser, and an overall disgrace to the Ga Institute of Technology

He's in UGAy's Hall of Fame .... so Piss on'em

You are obviously a very, very unhappy person. This is not the first post that demonstrates that.

Actually I'm a VERY Happy person. But I don't like asinine people or comments (and I've made my fair share and owned up to it)

Also, I could give a damn what you think as well. But I don't understand why we would even bring up that disgrace of a student/athlete up on a discussion board where we're discussing the success of our rejuvenated program

But thank you for your input, now go #$^& yourself

that is a bad post. i've lost more than my share of money on Reggie, but to say that is wrong (except maybe Pollack, and thats a maybe). He played his soul out for GT and for some no life to trash the guy, I mean come on. Don't be a Miami fan.

After that post, I would say that you're "an overall disgrace to the Ga Institute of Technology"

Well, first of all I'd have to disagree that he played his soul out for GT.

It was always and I mean always about him...not Tech. IMO

As for you call me a disgrace? Whatever dude I'm not even gonna go back and forth.

But I can guarantee you that you're absolutely false on that. I've been a supporter since I could talk and I'd probably venture to say that I support the institute in more ways than you do....but who cares

You've got your opinion and Ive got mine

You're a disgrace and an idiot. Only in your best wet dream will you ever contribute to Georgia Tech football one hundredth of what Reggie Ball did.

This is the absolute stupidest ****ing comment I've ever read on this board, period. Kyle doesn't say things this asinine. You can say he played poorly, and that he couldn't count past three or tons of others things abour Ball. But calling him a disgrace is just plain ****ing retarded. I went to school with Reggie, I saw him just about every day on my way to class, and calling the kid a disgrace is simply the most ignorant thing you will ever say. Go **** yourself.

By the way, Reggie never got picked up for DUI and possession while on campus.

No.

You should have seen Reggie Ball off the field and around campus. The guy was an A-hole. When he would actually come to class for a change, he would do a combination of the 3: he'd come to class late, wear his headphones, and/or leave 5-10 minutes early.

He was one of the most unfriendly personalities around campus, too, and I can describe a few instances...

No, he does not represent GATech well overall. I'll give him credit that he tried hard on the field, but that was only because Chan F'n Gailey left him on the field so what else was he going to do, not try?

He was in my class once and never showed up(actually he was supposed to be in my project group..."Reginald Ball"), and the teacher gave him a D. Then he couldn't play in the Gator Bowl because of that and Calvin set career highs in pretty much every receiving category.

That was a fun semester.

Needless to say gth816f, no one here can really know the complete Reggie Ball unless you went to school with him. He was an interesting combination of on & off the field character.

Haven't seen the replay...but it LOOKED as though there were opportunities for a receiver to cut in for a shorter pass but opted to go long.

This might be a function of the run and shoot not being fine tuned as I believe the receivers actually have options with their routes.

I saw very few receivers trying to get open for <15 yard passes, and instead opting to go long.

Those options are based on coverage, though, so they might have all gone long because of the defense.

/shrug

I don't know that much about it to say, really.
