Our defense played EXCELLENT!! They were asked to do wayyyyyyy too much. Our offense was anemic, but pulled it together in the end (slightly). The play calling was questionable with all the passes called and that 4th and 1 that we allowed to be a delay of game.

I think the biggest shocker is that our Defense is our strength. Our offense is our weakness.

A lot of signs pointed to this being a defensive struggle both ways. It certainly was a weird looking defensive game though. Both D's played great except for a few big plays, which is understandable when you look at both teams offenses. I thought it would be more give and take instead of take, take, take, give, give, give, take.

Yeah, our D did excellent when they weren't completely gassed due to the anemic offense.

Derrick Morgan, as we all knew it, is a stud and then some. Ridiculous amount of heart, tenacity, and athleticism.

No clue what the hell our secondary was doing.

Trying to catch their breath after holding them to 21-0 early. They were on the field, non-stop. They got gassed. No excuse, but I think our secondary did pretty well considering the amount of time they were out there.

Our offense isn't anemic - our OL is. And wasn't that the biggest concern on the board all summer? Clemson's DL whipped our ass so we went with more passing not because it stood a higher likelihood of success but because you can be tired and still pass block. And what idiot goes for it on 4th and 1 when your OL is getting its ass handed to it?

It's an interesting question. The quick touchdowns were a curse as well as a blessing. If we simply had more offensive drives in the first quarter, the defense could have probably performed much better in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Our A-back blocking was atleast as bad as the O-line.
