Living among miami fans, it is never an excuse unless they start losing. It rains in Miami all the time (when it rains here it is hard rain not light showers) but they only use this one when the temp is below 60-70. Like when GT beat UM last year. I think it is worse on teams that come here. I grew up in Macon, Ga played HS football and after that spent summers working golf course maint. and spent plenty of time outside during the Ga heat. The heat down here in Ft. Lauderdale really isn't any more than in middle Ga. However, the air down here can be tough when running, working out, and drinking (heh). Don't think the rain was a cause for UM to play bad in that game... the UM fans will tell you it was because the temp was around 55-60. VT beat that a$$.
