The players are soft

Or Josh Nesbitt was just a better player than Sims, and Gailey/Johnson were better coaches than Collins. I'm also sure you can find plenty of soft play from previous generations during some of our down years.

There is still plenty of hard nosed, never give up players on other teams. Hell, we still have players like that on our team -- that play by McCollum was anything but soft.
Agreed but the exception as opposed to the rule imho.

I thought this yesterday. Watching another mediocre, halfhearted and inept performance and ruminating on Cabrera and Stansbury's praise of volleyball, I thought "My god, am I watching a DEI football program? Is that what this is?'
Definitely playing into it imho.

Personally I think the rule is that if you look at 3 win teams you will usually find a lot of soft looking play compared to looking at 9 win teams, even back in Nesbitt's generation.

But maybe I'm misremembering, and back then even really bad teams who lost most of their games were "winners who wore that öööö on their sleeves" -- and it's only in the most recent generation that 3 win teams liked this stopped being full of winners.

In only 2 weeks, weve gone from hanging with Clemson for almost 3 qtrs and looking fairly competent on both sides of the ball to a team that has quit on the coach and the game.

Sims threw it pretty decently and WRs made some nice catches in game 1. Where has that gone?
BS on hanging with Clemson and Sims decent statements

Living and dying via the ‘try kindness, it works’ mantra ain’t a good way to coach a football team. Give me a bunch of mean assed ‘dirty’ players and I’ll teach them what their ‘boundaries’ are.

Can you imagine the transfer portal IF we hire Prime?
We might have the talent to play for a natty in 3-4 years.....if his staff can coach. Then, we'd get to see him tell FSU he is staying in ATL at GT.

He already said he owns this city

Better.

OL, you put Pitt on roller skates in the 4th quarter so you have the ability, show me that you have the desire to get after it and establish dominance from play 1 against Duke.
