The season is (probably) over...Jeff Sims

Considering even Taisun found a landing spot, Sims should be able to land somewhere in Power 5. Even playing time is possible if there is no established starter. If that's what he does, all the best to him.
Sims was a P5 starter. I am willing to bet that he won't be in that position next year.

Uhhhhh..... He got hurt, not to the point where he was medically ineligible, and refused to play. And all the while he was on the side line yucking it up with his friends. Not a good look. Good luck in the transfer portal.
Yeash, that's some leadership alright. Why no coming to the fore in a press conference and saying a few words instead of turning your back and disappearing? Chickenshit? Foot hurted too bad?

Probably be James Madison's QB next year.
Vad Lee has had an interesting career Bouncing between semi-pro leagues and Christian ministries. Played 3 games in the CFL in 2016, then an indoor proactive squad in 2018, then an XFL practice squad in 2020, now a USFL team in 2022 where he played in 6 games and completed 55% of his passes.

Meanwhile he and his wife had two kids, self-published a children’s book, he started a non-profit, and he’s given several speeches.

This was my suspicion, but I have no idea. No need to poop on a player. If he would rather be somewhere else, that time is now. If he wants to compete for the starter position, that time is now. It's all up to him.

Is he still a player if he is refusing to play?

Vad Lee had heart though..

I remember him being widely criticized for not having heart and for going out of bounds early rather than fighting for a first down against U[sic]GA.

Last QB we had who fought for first downs ended up trying to throw a flea flicker with a broken collar bone when we were down 7 to an awful Miami team. Jesus, I can't believe we lost that game. That is now looking Citadel-esque with how bad Miami is.

Who’s this new idiot coming in here to talk öööö?

From when coach addressed it, it sounded like Sims didn't think he was healthy enough to play and wanted to play it safe, so they decided it was best he no longer be on the team. We don't have the details of the incident, family history, or anything else so it's useless to speculate or hurl poo.

Jeff, thanks for the work you put in and best of luck on what's next.

I took a break from ST to research our current coaching situation.
