The silver lining...

Silver lining: We control our ACC destiny, and can either have a rematch with Clemson or exceed them. This was the ACC game to lose

That is the toughest defense we'll play all year. They have great players and a great DC. Even better than VT & Foster

Got some mental help this year. Not gonna go into detail but I got to a point where my mental health was in the gutter and I'm better. Don't get me wrong I HATE losing, and this one hurt, but we aren't going to have another 2015 this year.
Don't get me wrong, I hate losing, as well.

Just hope you can continue staying strong and ahead of your issues.

I thought BC was the toughest defense we would face all year. I heard it here.

Rain would have been nice. It was an absolute sauna last night.

Game was almost a carbon copy of the buttwhoopin we took in Blacksburg a couple of years ago on national tv.

LOL I remember hearing "thats the best D we'll face all year" after the BC game only to watch that same D get blown up by a mediocre VT offense. The sun came up this morning and all is not lost this season just because we got whupped, but dont go into denial either. My biggest disappointment is we dont seem to have any counter to the Notre Dame defense style introduced to us last year, which is to basically not wait for us to come to you (read and react) but rather blitz everybody and blow up the back field. Notre Dame started it and everybody else (with a brain, ahem Vandy) copies it with great success. Did you see how many corner blitzes Clemson did last night without even worrying about leaving something open? We all joke about the "blue print" but I really do think ND finally cracked the nut and now we have to figure out how to beat that style. PJ has forgotten more than I will ever know about the veer offense so that's what really worries me... he has no answers.

The play gave them two instead of the seven they were about to get or the next seven they drove the field and got. Can I have some of what you are smoking? Dabo showed mercy at the end.

For a guy that claims to have once played the game of football you can be a real dumbass sometimes.

I think this has already been addressed, but I'm going to do it again.

A 3 and out would drain a minute off of the clock. A punt from the 25 or so would put them in around the same field position that they were in to start. They scored with just a few seconds left in the half. Plus the mind öööö of that play had to be in our guys heads.

Now, about Dabo showing mercy... Is it mercy when you are playing Watson and Gallman and presumably your entire starting offense while up by 3 scores with less than 5 minutes to play?

I'll hang up and listen.

Clemson is top 5. We looked bad in the first half. We held our own in the second. I didn't think we'd win every game. It sucks to see us play poorly, but I was expecting a loss. Let's see if we learned any lessons for next week. Miami will be tough. But we just got a taste of what tough is and hopefully our first half will look better next week. I work with a lot of Miami fans so it'd be real nice to get back to winning football and stay in control of the Coastal. OL needs to play with fire and the desire to hurt people. We need the meanest 5 of the bunch to play.

I was thinking the same thing. That game was 2013 with Vad Lee. Butthurt was at a historic low and we all thought Vad Lee was the next Cam Newton.

And then VT's defense had their way with us. We've seen this before, and we've pulled out before too. (I expect jokes on that comment)

So you're saying BVG is the one who finally got the best of CPJ? Never saw it coming

Yeah but plenty of people were calling BS on that. I don't think anyone would call BS on this actually being the toughest D (and O, for that matter) we play all you. Still doesn't excuse just how bad we looked, but there you have it.
