The Strongest Team in CFB History

Glad the 85 scholarship limit has brought more parity to college football.

Let's be honest, factories like UA have effectively more than 85 schollys when you factor in greyshirting and player cuts.

Was there a team strength contest I missed?

Something like tug of war?

I'm sorry, but öööö those rankings. Seriously, 2015 Alabama at #3. So many two loss teams including one in the top 10. Pretty much any team from the 90s championship games could beat a two loss Oregon team. Granted, they were all roided out, but ethics isn't in this ranking. Give me 1995 Nebraska and a fifth of whiskey and I would whoop Nick Saddam and his 2015 Alabama juggernaut. Ffs

Any list with 2001 Miami at #27 is immediately discredited.

That team had 17 first round picks on it. Seven damn teen.

Frank Gore was the 4th string running back.

Sean Taylor was not even the best safety on the team.

They won back to back games over top 15 teams by scores of 65-7 and 59-0.

One of their offensive ööööing linemen was 8th in Heisman voting.

I don't know how exactly their methodology works, but it obviously sucks.

This ranking is retarded on so many levels. Its like Finebaum wrote it to suck off the Alabama fan base. 1995 Nebraska is the reigning MVP of National Champions and its going to be a long while before anyone matches what they did. 2001 Miami would tattoo most on that list including this Alabama team.

On the other hand, I have to give it to fivethirtyeight. I imagine there's a thread on each team board about this, funneling people in from curiosity and back out fully stocked on butthurt.

We could do this. I have a model that is capable of producing equal or greater garbage. Shit, I have a model with Western Michigan in the top 6.

I really like this idea....
I bitched and moaned about losing the War Room for something like 10 years and we only got it back once I was gone for a year. With a little luck and another sabbatical we could have a decent frontpage within the next decade.
