The Worst Thing About Collins

At his post game press conference today, he was asked about fans and donors. He smugly said he was just interested in the people in the locker room. He would not even offer one word of compassion for the people paying his salary. What a jerk.

He doesn't even have enough brains to understand that everybody in his precious locker room is there because of fans and donors. There is not going to be a football program left at Georgia Tech, if we don't get rid of this guy this week.

I thought the worst thing was his used car salesman, buzzword, clown show schtick, but I was willing to look past that since I was told that the young whipper snappers thought that was groovy.

I didn't realize the worst thing about him would be his coaching.

I'm sorry. If I had taken the time to read the other thread, I wouldn't have started this one. My parents and my wife's parents were Tech supporters. I brought my sons up with a love for Tech.

Now, I've got my grandchildren involved. Football isn't so important, in fact it's not important at all. But the people in the Edge building need to respect the people who have chosen to get involved with Tech.

Last night in his post game press conference, Coach Pastner referred to Tech fans in a positive way. That made a good impression on me. Collins is just driving me off. If this man beat Georgia next week, I would be thrilled. But, I would still want him gone. Gone far and gone fast and gone with his crew.

Tech is going to find out it can survive losing games and coaches and recruits. But, Tech can't survive losing die hard fans. The people in the Edge building better rethink their priorities.

No problem - I'm not the repost police - was just pointing it out. I thought it best if all thoughts on that matter were in a single thread.

Right now, reposts are the least of our concerns.

God bless Jonathan L. for finally asking the tough question that others were afraid to ask. What do you say to fans and donors?

He should have looked at the camera and thanked the fans who traveled to South Bend, as well as all the rest of us who are heavily invested in GT, and then he should have apologized for his and his team's performance.
And THEN he can say he loves the players and that together they are going to work hard this week to put on the best show they can next week against their in-state rival, while encouraging those same fans to come out and support the team, especially the seniors, in their final game.

That's how a real, adult football coach would handle it.
