Things Aidan Birr is kicking...

He took a unique approach I noticed Saturday night in that he takes the field like 60 yards behind the play and jogs down to the spot before the snap vs jogging out with the team directly from the sideline. Just for the FG. Did it again after he got iced, IIRC. I don’t remember him doing that at Ole Miss or vs BC. Prob can’t tell on TV.

He has been doing better at getting the ball up too. Some of his earlier work was dangerously low.

He kicks "easy". Like a good golf swing

Noticed that also. It was very obvious that time there was a delay before the FG. He went way out of his way to get away from the ball.

Trying to keep to a routine and not just stand there. Smart

If we are up huge and he has us take a knee I will boo.
What if we’re up 3 with 40 seconds left? Asking for a fren

"Hey coach! Have you heard the one about the coach who could've won a game but didn't kneel the ball, and he ended up losing a game, a season and a career all in 26 seconds? ... Oh, ok, you've heard it."

Kickers are a strange lot. They look like they can't ever miss until one game they go 0-3 and then they're done as a kicker.

Feel like he started 0/3 one playoff game and then nailed the game winner
There was a playoff game where he got iced but the snap was made and he nailed the kick from about 45 after the whistle blew. Upon the next snap KC moved, KC got flagged but the snap was made and he nailed it again. Then from 5 yards further back he nailed the actual game winner.

I think that was the sequence but he ended up nailing three successive kick long kicks with the last one a game winner.
