That doesn't actually look that painful to me, nothing like those crazy people who do the suspensions. It does look rather dumb though, and especially on a body like the one above, it's almost a slap to the God who created that lovely piece of female form.

i agree, but the difference is that the hangs that hang themselves with hooks and such are doing it as a way to overcome their physical bodies and experience some spiritual gain (kind of like flogging oneself, or fasting or other deprivations or pain inducing spiritual excercises)

in these cases, though, the reason is "fashion".

my point is that this is really a total lack of sense, whereas the more painful stuff actually has some meaning that i can understand (not that i would do it)
